I've got a headful of ideas that are driving me insane...
Posted January 28th, 2010 by tlacuacheCEB pumphouse for the contracted effluent wastewater we receive from the municipal facility. Settling pond with reeds for natural post-treatment of effluent (which smell strongly of detergents). Hayfield irrigation for natural, holistically raised beef cattle. CEB barn and workshop. OSE sawmill for the thousands of acres of mesquite that make for a sustainable small-lumber/specialty wood operation. Putting my onion sets in the ground (Grano 1050). Placing my heirlooms garden. Figuring out the best way to store greywater and harvested rainwater. Planning the off-grid CEB home.

Posted January 17th, 2010 by Allen15It is mentioned in the project list and grouped with the Multi-machine, and Torch Table, but when going to that project's page, there is no mention of it at all, not even in the outline...
The Openfarmtech.org site does have pages for it at http://openfarmtech.org/index.php/Lathe, and after looking at those, I sincerely hope that that design is still open for discussion for safety's sake of whomever will end up building and trying to use such.

Posted January 12th, 2010 by saltyI'm a chemistry teacher nearing retirement. My (impossible?) dream in retirement (which is not too far away) is to build or buy a lifetrac and ceb machine--use this to make stabilized block for energy-efficinet housing for poor folks in East Tennessee --folks that pay too much to rent ratty houses or or buy short-lived house trailers. Also interested in energy conservation in general, alternative energy, etc. Our family is currently building our own passive solar house.
